The world, the pundits, the news stations, GOP talking heads, and most of all the Rominator, wish Huckabee would just disappear. They can’t explain how this “Christian Fundamentalist” from Arkansas continues to stick around. Other candidates have dropped off like flies around a bug zapper – but not ole Huck!
They’ve tried everything to rid themselves of this “nuisance”. They have sent the biggest talk radio guns after him. They have asked him every religious question hoping he’ll trip up – but he comes away looking better. They have dug through his record and have tried to convince the American public that he will tax us like a democrat, give all our college scholarship money to the illegal immigrants, and pardon murderers and rapists for his own guilty pleasure. They have consistently tried to shove him into a box labeled “Unelectable- Redneck- Intolerant Christian- Semi-Republican”, and every time he speaks, every listener scratches their head as they notice he isn’t at all what they thought.
They have called his campaign “over” at every stage – over before it started, after an Iowa win, after a strong showing in New Hampshire, after a “Fred” away from winning South Carolina, and most recently after Florida – and no matter how many delegates he gets on Super Tuesday, the following Wednesday, he’ll be pronounced dead on arrival again.
When debate time rolls around, they have shoved him to the side of every debate hoping he’ll fade in the glow of their “big dogs”, and when he doesn’t, they just decide they won’t ask him any questions. The truth is, every time Huckabee gets the mic in a debate – he RULES. He captivates the audience, hits his points clearly and with humor, nails important issues with conviction, never falls for the traps that are set, and comes across as the confident, down to earth, able, “No-BS” conservative that he is.
Watch the video of him speaking as the other candidates stare at him, you can see it in their faces – “HE’S GOOD AT THIS.” It’s almost like they believed the press and underestimated him, and Huck just keeps hitting home runs. The pundits and Romney spend all month trying to paint a certain picture of Huck, and in 90 minutes, he displays the truth of his positions and strength of his character.
Well Huckabee supporters, you are seeing the playing field is far from level, so what do we do about it. I say we push on, knowing we will not get an ounce of love from anywhere but one place – the only place that counts – THE VOTERS!
And it’s high time that someone points out, that neither McCain or Romney are shooting for ANY OF THE IMPORTANT RED STATES (unless you count Home State Arizona or Mormon Mecca Utah)! They are kicking and scratching for every blue state in the Union! Wait and see when Huck takes all the Southern and Heartland RED states come Super Tuesday – and the Republican Party will have to ask the burning question – “Can we nominate McCain or Romney WHEN THEY BARELY WIN A RED STATE ACROSS THE BOARD?!”
Although the media exposure has been an embarrassment to journalism, America will soon find out just who Mike Huckabee is come Super Tuesday. When he takes all sorts of states across America on Feb. 5th, the rest of America will stand up and take notice. And the one thing we know about Huck is this – when people REALLY get to know him, his character, his leadership and where he really stands on the issues, they will throw their support behind him in droves!!
